Bus Data

The bus data on this site comes from a number of sources including . Because routes are shown for a large area there is correspondingly a large amount of data. There is no way that this can all be checked by hand and some automatic processing has been done. Some data sources are older than others; some newer routes may be missing; some withdrawn routes may appear. Bus routes and timetables change more frequently than you might imagine. Routes in the city centre and by bigger operators are more likely to be correct and up to date

Where possible routes have been matched to online schedules on operator web sites or in pdf format, which both provides the timetable information but also confirms to some extent that the routes are current. Routes that do not show schedule link have not been verified in this way. If a link is broken it may mean the service has changed or been withdrawn since we added the link.

You should always verify all routes and schedules independently before travelling. Bristolstreets.co.uk makes not guarantee of the accuracy of the data and you use it at your own risk.

Bus route lines are mainly drawn by connecting stops rather than showing the actual route taken. Normally it is clear what roads are used but where routes go for a long distance without stopping route lines will cross areas without roads. Over time route lines will be hand matched to roads.
